Caption
Researchers have identified a compound that boosts appetite and promotes weight gain in mice by activating a brain receptor that regulates feeding behavior. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the June 1, 2016 issue of Science Signaling, published by AAAS. The paper, by J.H. Wardman at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai New York, NY, and colleagues was titled, "Identification of a small-molecule ligand that activates the neuropeptide receptor GPR171 and increases food intake."
