At 14 days after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury, in the HUCB-MSC + electro-acupuncture group, the number of vascular endothelial growth factor-positive cells around the ischemic focus in rats was increased, but the cells were irregular in shape. HUCB-MSCs: human umbilical cord blood-derived mesenchymal stem cells.
