Secretary of the Navy the Honorable Ray Mabus debarks a helicopter while touring the Applied Physics Laboratory Ice Station on March 19 during ICEX 2011. From collecting data on the environment to testing undersea communications, ICEX includes several Office of Naval Research (ONR) projects designed to improve naval operations in the Arctic.
