Experiment 1 with marking: Kato alert hoos and marks a gaboon viper model for an ignorant receiver with whom he shares a bond (Pan troglodytes schweinfurthii, Budongo Forest, Uganda). This material relates to a paper that appeared in the Nov. 15, 2017, issue of Science Advances, published by AAAS. The paper, by C. Crockford at Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig, and colleagues was titled, 'Vocalizing in chimpanzees is influenced by social cognitive processes.'
