The star is located in the center and is spread out horizontally due to the instrument's grism, giving the observer's color information about the source. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the Oct. 3rd, 2018, issue of Science Advances, published by AAAS. The paper, by A. Teachey at Columbia University in New York, NY, and colleagues was titled, "Evidence for a large exomoon orbiting Kepler-1625b."
