A merge of the image of an embryonic chick heart and the 3-D-bioprinted embryonic heart scaffold created from that image. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the Oct. 23, 2015, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by T.J. Hinton at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, and colleagues was titled, "Three-dimensional printing of complex biological structures by freeform reversible embedding of suspended hydrogels."
