Patient 3. Forward reach test, 6 months post-op. Patient saw an improvement of 28 percent compared to pre-operative testing. The forward reach test evaluates strength of anterior tibial region. This video relates to a paper that appeared in the April 30, 2014, issue of Science Translational Medicine, published by AAAS. The paper, by Dr. B.M. Sicari at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pa., and colleagues was titled, "An Acellular Biologic Scaffold Promotes Skeletal Muscle Formation in Mice and Humans with Volumetric Muscle Loss."
