A 23-Year-Old Rwanda Woman Tends Her Flock

Meet Immaculee: A 23-year-old woman who joined the Tworore Inkoko, Twunguke (TI) project in October 2017. In addition to increasing household income and improving household nutrition outcomes, TI aims to expand the entrepreneurial opportunities and training to Rwanda's youth through poultry husbandry. Patsy Watkins, a UT Extension family and consumer sciences agent, was recognized with an Epsilon Sigma Phi award for International Service for her participation in the project. UT Extension professionals were also recognized with five other ESP awards.
