Near-complete dissolution of wood lignin below water boiling temperature using a recyclable hydrotrope for producing cellulose nanomaterials, wood pulp, sugar/biofuel, and chemicals. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the Sept. 15, 2017, issue of Science Advances, published by AAAS. The paper, by L. Chen at Jinan University in Guangzhou, China, and colleagues was titled, 'Rapid and near-complete dissolution of wood lignin at ? 80°C by a recyclable acid hydrotrope.'
