Wilbur Lam is developing a smartphone attachment designed for at-home ear examinations. Lam envisions a physician remotely guiding placement of the device, called the RemOtoscope, and diagnosing the condition via real-time video consultation with parents at home. Development of the device will be assisted by the new Atlanta Pediatric Device Consortium.
