University of Texas at San Antonio electrical engineering professor Philip Chen has been named a Fellow by the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. The grade of fellow is IEEE's most prestigious award and is reserved for less than 1 percent of its 400,000 members worldwide that have exhibited an extraordinary record of accomplishments over their career. Chen joins fellow UTSA professors Mo Jamshidi and G.V.S. Raju to serve as IEEE Fellows.
