This movie documents the evolution of an earthquake swarm near Cahuilla, California, over the time period 2016-2017. Earthquake epicenters are shown as dots. Past events are colored according to the scale, while current events are colored black. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the April 19, 2019 issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by Z. Ross at California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, CA, and colleagues was titled, "Searching for hidden earthquakes in Southern California."
