Telecoupling Linkages Between Tropical Marine Fisheries and Extratropical Regions

These linkages enable the flow of benefits, including food, livelihoods and government revenue, from tropical fisheries to extratropical locations. Fish from the tropics sold in temperate-zone markets provides jobs and revenue to tropical nations. That flow of benefits is threatened by the larger impact of climate change on tropical fishery systems. EEZs, exclusive economic zones.
