An interactive "nutrition label" for financial products, designed by Dr. Oded Nov and doctoral student Junius Gunaratne in NYU Tandon School of Engineering's Department of Technology Management and Innovation. The interactive format is simple, easy to read and uncluttered. Because it is interactive it allows people to easily and immediately understand the long term implications of the choices they make today. Subjects in a retirement simulation experiment run by Nov and Gunaratne performed better at reaching their investment goals, and were more likely to invest in low-fee funds.
