ISIS-Controlled Oil Production Sites, 2014-16

Using satellite imagery, a team of researchers led by Princeton University and the World Bank analyzed 42 oil production sites controlled by ISIS across Syria and Iraq from 2014 to 2016. They measured the volume of radiant heat produced by gas flaring at all production sites.
