In the four-minute "Science Buddies: Advancing Informal Science Education" video, founder and president, Ken Hess talks about the role of Science Buddies in K-12 science education and the importance of Science Buddies as a way for researchers to put cutting edge, real world research into the hands of students. This video relates to an article that appeared in the April 29, 2011, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The essay, by Kenneth Hess, Courtney Corda, and Kristina Lanese of Science Buddies in Carmel, Calif., was titled, "Science Buddies: Advancing Informal Science Education."
