Large schools of brown chromis that aggregated to the dimethylsulfoniopropionate (DMSP) released during the experiment. This image relates to an article that appeared in the March 7, 2008, issue of the journal Science, published by AAAS. The study, by Dr. Jennifer DeBose and colleagues at University of California, Davis in Davis, Calif., was titled "Dimethylsulfoniopropionate as a Foraging Cue for Reef Fish."
