WPBT2 Producer Alexa Elliott and associate producer and University of Miami student Véronique Koch were part of the team at the 2010 Suncoast Emmy® award presentation where the Changing Seas episode "Sentinels of the Seas" was recognized with the prestigious award. The winning episode focuses on legacy contaminants and other pollutants that people are putting into our waters, which are finding their way up the food chain, and eventually into human food supplies.
