Coastal Flooding Risk Globally May Be Greater than Previously Believed (2 of 2)

Foster City and San Francisco Airport have high economic value and are at heightened risk from flooding by 2100. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the March 7, 2018, issue of Science Advances, published by AAAS. The paper, by M. Shirzaei at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ, and colleagues was titled, "Global climate change and local land subsidence exacerbate inundation risk to the San Francisco Bay Area."
