This is a live individual Globigerinoides sacculifer collected during the GLOW research cruise to the Indian Ocean in February 2009. This image relates to an article that appeared in the April 15, 2011, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The study, by Thomas Ezard of Imperial College London in Berkshire, UK, and colleagues was titled, "Interplay Between Changing Climate and Species’ Ecology Drives Macroevolutionary Dynamics."
