Antibodies kill infected cells by activating NK cells. In green, an infected cell, cultured in the presence of antibodies (invisible) and NK cells (white arrow). The NK cell comes into contact with the infected cell, then destroys it (the dying cell turns red). These images were taken using video microscopy.
