Scott Weidensaul of Schuylkill Have, Pa., will be awarded the Academy of Natural Sciences' Richard Hopper Day Memorial Medal for his lifelong contributions to interpreting and communicating natural science and discoveries for the general public. The Philadelphia institution, the oldest natural history museum in the Americas, will present the honor at a ceremony May 25, 2010.
