Scientists Kevin Weng (l) of the University of Hawaii, John O'Sullivan (c) of the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and Chris Lowe (r) of California State University Long Beach tag a young-of-the-year white shark off Southern California as part of Project White Shark, a multi-institutional research collaboration aimed at learning more about the life cycle, ecology and behavior of great white sharks.
