This image shows the reorganization of the global ocean conveyor belt circulation during the Last Glacial Termination, as revealed from sediment core radiocarbon data and climate model simulations. This image relates to an article that appeared in the July 9, 2010, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The study, by Dr. Y. Okazaki of the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology in Yokosuka, Japan, and colleagues, is titled, "Deep Water Formation in the North Pacific During the Last Glacial Termination."
