Computer simulations, carried out at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, Poland, shows the formation of periodic variations -- Turing patterns -- in the concentrations of two main chemical compounds. One cycle of concentration changes may occur in a section of just 20 atoms or molecules.
