In this recreation, Loxolophus scavenges for food in the palm dominated forests found within the first 300,000 years after the dinosaur extinction. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the Oct. 25, 2019 issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by T. Lyson at Denver Museum of Nature & Science in Denver, CO, and colleagues was titled, "Exceptional continental record of biotic recovery after the Cretaceous-Paleogene mass extinction."
