Doctors around the world struggle to detect genetic syndromes that manifest subtly in physical appearance and that vary with age and ethnic background. Drs. Marius George Linguraru, Marshall Summar and a multidisciplinary Children's National Health System team advanced to the championship round of #STATMadness2018 for their research on facial recognition technology to diagnose 22q11.2 deletion syndrome, Down syndrome and Noonan syndrome.
