Facial distortions viewed in upright and upside-down positions (IMAGE)
Caption
Patient A.D. who has hemi-prosopometamophosia (hemi-PMO), saw distortions in the regions on the upright and upside-down faces that are shaded red. This indicates the upside-down face was rotated in A.D.'s visual system so that it was aligned with the same template as that which is used to process the upright face.
