Watercolor Interpretation of Mitotic Spindle

Caption

A nanoscale mechanism called a spindle equally separates a cell's chromosomes before it divides. Microtubules, also called spindle fibers (orange) attach to chromosomes (blue). Lenthening and shortening of the fibers moves the chromosomes apart.
