These images (grn23_r.jpg and grn24_r.jpg ) show the 3-D shape of two of the molecules made and tested. grn23_r.jpg shows a coil (grey) bound with two disulfide bonds (red), which was mildly active. grn24_r.jpg shows a molecule made by adding an extra disulfide bond (red). This extra bond allows beta-hairpins (blue) to form and significantly enhances cell proliferation activity.
