Night-time drone photography shows privately in-stalled electricity networks supplying energy in rural areas of southern Africa. However, these improvised networks of cables break down frequently and sud-denly. Hospitals, schools, and businesses need a stable and reliable energy supply, so the international research project led by Paderborn University is of major significance to society as a whole.
