This is an electron microscopy image of a Pandoravirus particle. This image relates to a paper that appeared in the July 19, 2013, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by Nadège Philippe at CNRS in Marseille, France, and colleagues was titled, "Pandoraviruses: Amoeba Viruses with Genomes up to 2.5 Mb Reaching That of Parasitic Eukaryotes."
