Regions of Significant Differences in the Brain in Males and Females with Autism (IMAGE)
Caption
Regions of significant differences (top) in the brain in males (left) and females (right) with autism versus control individuals. The bottom row shows effect size differences for both comparisons. Both males and females show greater cortical thickness relative to controls, but in largely different regions, and differences seem to be of a larger magnitude in females.
