This image shows the curing of glue with light creates a water-tight seal. This image relates to a paper that appeared in the Jan. 8, 2014, issue of Science Translational Medicine, published by AAAS. The paper, by Dr. N. Lang at Boston Children's Hospital in Boston, Mass., and colleagues was titled, "A Blood-Resistant Surgical Glue for Minimally Invasive Repair of Vessels and Heart Defects."
