FGFR3-TACC3 localizes aberrantly at the midbody of dividing cells during cytokinesis. FGFR3-TACC3 (red) colocalizes with tubulin bundles (green) at the midbody connecting the two daughter cells (nuclei, blue). This image relates to a paper that appeared in the July 26, 2012, issue of Science Express, published by AAAS. The paper, by Devendra Singh at Columbia University Medical Center in New York, N.Y., and colleagues was titled, “Transforming Fusions of FGFR and TACC Genes in Human Glioblastoma.”
