The AIRS instrument aboard Aqua provided temperature data on Tropical Depression 30W on Dec. 21 at 353 UTC (Dec. 20 at 10:53 p.m. EST). Coldest cloud top temperatures near minus 63 Fahrenheit (purple) surrounded the center of circulation.
