This shows the ENVISAT satellite collecting data over South America. This image relates to a paper that appeared in the Oct. 12, 2012, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by Yuri Fialko at University of California, San Diego in La Jolla, Calif., and colleagues was titled, “Sombrero Uplift Above the Altiplano-Puna Magma Body: Evidence of a Ballooning Mid-Crustal Diapir.”
