FCC Grants NYU WIRELESS First Program Experimental License

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has given NYU Wireless at NYU Tandon School of Engineering the first program experimental license. Yunchou Xing a doctoral student in electrical and computer engineering at NYU Tandon worked closely with the FCC as a beta tester for the new experimental license platform. The web-based application system reduces barriers to experimentation, and provides an overarching licensing program for innovative entities to rapidly acquire specific experimental licenses.
