This is a lava lake in crater with a river of lava flowing along the surface of the lava flow. Dec. 4, 2014. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the July 15, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by M.T. Gudmundsson at University of Iceland, Sturlugata in Reykjavík, Iceland, and colleagues was titled, "Gradual caldera collapse at Bárdarbunga volcano, Iceland, regulated by lateral magma outflow."
