The fluctuation analysis provided vastly improved analysis in the imaging of red blood cells (orange dots in the top image) flowing through the simulated blood vessels (white in the top image). The other four images show the single acoustic frames and conventional averaging (middle row) compared to the fluctuation analysis the researchers described (bottom row).
