Multicorer sampling operation in Gulf of Mexico on the RV Gyre retrieved bottom samples used to study impacts from the Deepwater Horizon blowout and oil spill in 2010. NOAA, University of Texas A&M, Corpus Christi and the University of Nevada, Reno collaborated on the research. The first post-spill analysis was just published in the online scientific journal PLos One.
