Surface buoy designed by NIOZ collecting mineral dust particles that originate from the Sahara desert and have travelled over the Atlantic Ocean. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the Dec. 12th, 2018, issue of Science Advances, published by AAAS. The paper, by Michèlle van der Does at Utrecht University in Texel, Netherlands, and colleagues was titled, "The mysterious long-range transport of giant mineral dust particles."
