This Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) satellite 3-D image of Tropical Storm Neki's clouds on Oct. 26 at 0647 UTC shows that some of the thunderstorms actually top out near 16 kilometers (~9 miles), indicating some strong convection remains.
