Testing Effects of Soldier Load on Performance (IMAGE)
Caption
A new UMass Amherst kinesiology study is looking at effects of soldier load on such biomechanical parameters as postural control, reaction time and visual attention in laboratory settings that realistically mimic mission situations. Pictured is a heavily loaded Army veteran wearing reflective dots that can precisely track body movements for computer analysis during a marksmanship exercise.
