TASK-3 selective agonists show potential as non-opioid analgesics. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the Nov. 20, 2019, issue of Science Translational Medicine, published by AAAS. The paper, by P. Liao at West China Hospital of Sichuan University in Chengdu, China; and colleagues was titled, "Selective activation of TWIK-related acid-sensitive K+ 3 subunit-containing channels is analgesic in rodent models."
