Braga at the SARAH Network of Rehabilitation Hospitals shows neuroplasticity after intensive rehabilitation of massive stroke in the left hemisphere that severely impacted speech and language function. Clinical improvement of communication was reflected in neurostructural strengthening of white matter in the right hemisphere, as shown in the MRI images of the brain before and after intervention.
