Heat Waves Can Be Lethal for Entire Clutches of Embryonic Lizards

Since lizards lay all of their eggs in one nest, heat waves can be lethal for entire clutches of embryonic lizards. Researches now believe that unless the species is able to adapt, we can expect to see a decline in lizards as temperatures rise (Plateau fence lizard eggs in a nest).
