Caption
Meditators and non-meditators had similar parameters before start of the study. After three weeks of meditation, there was significant lowering of intraocular pressure (IOP), cortisol and levels of oxidative stress, while there was an increase in brain-derived neurotrophic factors and beta endorphins with improvement in quality of life measures (QOL) in the meditators, while there was no change in the non-meditators.
