A Giant Hummingbird (Patagona gigas), the largest of the hummingbirds, photographed in Peru. The Giant Hummingbird, one of the nine principal lineages of hummingbirds, is found between sea level and 4,800 meters (15,700 feet) elevation in the South American Andes, from Colombia to Chile and Argentina.
