Fig. 1: (Left panel) Chrono-nutrition. (Upper right panel) Feeding schedule of this experiment. (Lower right panel) Liver lipids. Starch diet contains only starch as carbohydrate, and sucrose diet contains sucrose as carbohydrate. Rats under ad lib. condition eat about 80 percent diet in active phase (dark phase). In time-restricted feeding rats eat only in active phase. After four weeks, the liver lipid level of the rats was analyzed. An increased level of liver lipids by sucrose feeding was suppressed by time-restricted feeding.
